1. All contestants who wished to participate had to register with the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University, Lewiston, NY, by November 15, 1997. There was no entry fee and registration could be made by phone. Registrants were mailed a numbered registration form that had to be completed and returned with their entry.
2. All entries had to be delivered in person to the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University between December 1 - 10, 1997.
3. Award categories were:
B. Group Entries by Children (5 grade level categories)
Kindergarten, Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, Grades 7-9, Grades
10-12
C. Adult Entries (3 size categories)
NOTE: Anyone who was over age 18 and had completed the 12th grade was considered an adult. The Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University reserved the right to adjust categories as required by number and ages of actual participants.
4. All entries had be accompanied by the numbered registration form which was mailed to registrants. The number from the registration form had to be firmly taped to the back of the Krakow Crib entry.
5. Non-winning entries could be picked up at the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University following the award ceremony on Sunday, December 14, 1997. Notice was given that non-winning entries that had not picked up by 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 1997, were to be discarded.
