The letter Wislawa Szymborska sent to Aleksander Koj, the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, which says, among other things:

Thank you very much for your kind words which you sent on behalf of the Jagiellonian University. Spiritually, I owe much to your magnificent university. Many of my friends, whom I used to know as students, are now renowned lecturers and professors. Their friendship, the books they wrote and the conversations we held made me richer.
