CRACOW
Mining the Minimal

7 January 2004

A retrospective exhibition of works by Władysław Pluta has been mounted as part of the Polish Graphic Design series. The exhibition presents almost 30 years of the creative output of an artist who primarily deals with book and poster design. Pluta also designs catalogues, leaflets, covers and company trademarks. His posters and graphic projects are simple combinations of images and words, often images created by words. Each project is characterized by order, purity, and clarity of visual language. The artist follows the rule "minimum means-maximum end," thanks to which the intended message is always clear, communicative and at the same time universal. Bunkier Sztuki, 3a Szczepański Sq., through Jan. 31.
