Jarocin Open and Economical

More than a year ago, the councils of the county and town of Jarocin developed a Strategy for Development for the region.  Please explain the plan's main goals.
The main aim of the Strategy is to engage in activities that will allow extensive growth in the economy of the city and county.  The Strategy contains 19 points that are essential to achieving economic growth.  For example:
improving  the condition of industrial facilities while raising the income of the
population;
promoting the county, which should lead to strategic investment;
a decisive increase in the number of new apartments built;

re-structuring the agricultural sector of the economy  to a large-scale farming
model;
creating conditions conducive to the growth of secondary and higher education;
improving the level of safety and security of town residents;
improving the health of the town's inhabitants, including providing better access to the services of medical specialists;
I want to emphasize that we are fully conscious of what we have to do and how, and we are systematically realizing the goals of our Strategy.
The city's main strengths are certainly its strong industrial and production potential, its convenient location in terms of transportation, as well as its being the seat of the county administrative offices.  What do you perceive as being the most important force for the growth of economy of the city and county?
The most powerful forces for the town and county's growth are:
The city's being demographically  young statistics show that among those li-ving in

the county, around 60% are of working age, and 30% are children and young people.  This offers interesting prospects. It is estimated that in the year 2035, 57% of the county's population will be of working age and around 27% will be comprised of children and youth.
The city's proximity to transportation routes - by rail or car, its only about 70 km. from Jarocin to Poznań, to Kalisz 50 km., some 70 km. separates us from Leszno, and we are just over 100 km from Wroc³aw.  The travel time to most major cities is around one hour, which is really about the same as it takes to drive from one side of Poznań to the other.-A varied industrial base, which is relatively easy to restructure - Jarocin has always been an important town in term of industry, with a well-educated and hard-working skilled work force..

 It is therefore not difficult to find people who have the appropriate skills and training, and who can quickly adapt to new work requirement and conditions.
A Long-term Investment Plan (2000-2004) and Study of  the Town Planning - An added strength of the town is its open and hard-working inhabitants, who understand perfectly well the need to work with various economic institutions, putting to use day in and day out the experience they have gained working in cooperation with cities abroad in France, Holland and Hungary .
You believe that Jarocin's town council has developed  a plan well suited to the needs of potential investors.  How have you done this, and how has it been carried out?
We are, above all, dependable partners when we know what needs to be doneHaving completed our Strategy for the Development of the City and County of Jarocin, we are not proceeding blindly or chaotically.  We know what to do and how to do it in order for Jarocin to be a friendly and productive town.
We match our economic proposals to the needs of investors, discussing with each one ways to simplify procedures and provide essential support.  We have a wide variety of properties available for use. I think that every investor can find something for him or herself here.
In one of you responses, you called Jarocin a "City of Tolerance," which certainly must refer to the city's having played host for years to its well-known rock music festival. How does this tolerance show itself and what does the city gain from it?
Tolerance is a timeless and universal value, which allows people to work peacefully and creatively for the common good. Although the festival is a sign to the outside world of the town's tolerance and hospitality in regard to young people, I would not limit the issue to only this.

Tolerance is also demonstrated in the actions of the town's political and social activists, who understand perfectly well that each person is entitled to be different, to have his or her own opinion, and to state that opinion.  They also understand that if we work together for the good of the town and county, we can look to the future with optimism.
For myself personally it is very important for everyone to want one thing: that Jarocin will be a friendly and productive town.
