Tadeusz Kosciuszko


Hero of Two Worlds

General Tadeusz Kosciuszko is a hero in both the United States and in Poland. He believed in freedom for all people. General Kosciuszko came to America from Poland to help fight the War of Independence. Due to his enthusiasm for freedom and his military experience he was a great asset to the Americans. When the war ended in America he returned to his native country of Poland to fight once again for freedom. General Kosciuszko believed that every person and every nation deserved to be free. He is truly a hero of two worlds.
