The 1994 Warsaw Uprising - An assertion of sovereignty and hope.



On the initiative of the older harcerze (boy scouts and girl guides), a field mail service was initiated. During August 116,317 letters were handled. In central Warsaw the letters were delivered withing 24 hours. Letters addressed to other areas which were delivered in two to three days.
