Kossak, Jerzy (1886-1955)

A Hussar with a Horse in a Wintery Landscape

The son of Wojciech and the grandson of Julius, Jerzy Kossak belonged to the third generation of this family of painters. He frequently painted with his father and specialized in painting battle scenes, particularly one involving cavalry.
