Polish Dances

In 1927, Stryjeńska created the Polish Dances series of eleven stylized images. These later were widely popularized, published in books and as postcards and became very familiar to people in Poland. The majority of these were later reproduced on the webpages of the Polish Music Center at the University of Southern California. Those and other found on occasion on the Internet are reassembled below.

Note that the image at bottom right does not feature the characteristic name and artist signature and that stilistically it differs from the rest, thus it may not have been created by Stryjenska. On the other hand, the one at bottom right is too small to allow one to decifer what is the dance it represents.
